I rescued this extremely neglected Siberian on 8/4/06. Overall, Nina is a very sweet, affectionate and intelligent Siberian. She enjoys the Oakwood dog park and has learned to socialize well with the other animals. She has been jealous of my attention and is protective of her food and treats. She is house trained, but will chew on socks, underwear and all cotton rugs when left inside alone for an extended period of time. She does not bolt, or run away and will not pull on a leash, so she is easy to walk and greatly enjoys it. She rides well in a car. She will lie down next to me, with her head on my shoulder when I ask her to do so. She does not bother my cat, even when the cat walks by her. Nina has always gotten along with other dogs away from home, but has a problem with one of my other three dogs. She has a slight odor to her, perhaps due to previous skin problems and/or perhaps due to a yeast infection in the ears that have all been treated. She was train wreck, but has recovered very nicely now.
Nina is a black and white female Siberian with blue eyes. Her guestimated DOB is August 1996 and she weighs about 60 lbs. She has heartworms but is sweet, affectionate and in general, she acts healthy. She is on monthly heartworm preventative (HeartGuard) and was spayed and had a lumpectomy on 1/22/07. I would like for her to have a pleasant home for the rest of her life. To learn more about Nina or how to adopt her, please email Phil at pborozco@earthlink.net or call 919-212-0779.
