1st Annual Southern Siberian Rescue Urban Mush Clinic

Southern Siberian Rescue will hold its first annual Introductory Urban Mushing Clinic this fall.  The event will be held in Huntersville, N.C. at Rural Hill.  Proceeds from the event will help support our mission of helping Siberians throughout North Carolina and surrounding states who are unwanted, abandoned or neglected find new homes.

The Introductory Urban Mushing Clinic will be the main activity and will cover the basics of dog scootering and carting.  If you are unfamiliar with this sport, check it out on the attached link  youTube Mush Movie.  The hands-on clinic will include:  how to measure your dog for a harness, equipment introduction, basic commands and teaching your dog to run.                . 

In addition, we will offer microchipping and are planning a raffle/silent auction.  

Our rescue efforts are supported solely by donations, fundraising and volunteers.  We are seeking the following to help us make this event a success:  

Raffle / Silent Auction Donations

• Siberian items.
• AMC movie tickets.
• Gift certificates.
• Doggie day care.
• Overnight stay at bed & breakfast.
• Starbucks gift basket.  
• Golf items.

• Gather and transport donated items.
• Spread the word by posting and distributing event flyers.
• Volunteer to help at the event.  Set-up, staffing the event and tear-down.
