Bandit's Memorial Page

On Monday, November 18, 2002, Bandit passed over the Rainbow Bridge under tragic circumstances. Here, we’ll share some of the sentiments from those who knew her. But before we do, her parent, Shawn, expressed his and Bandit’s canine siblings’ feelings for Bandit in this beautiful sentiment...
It's been extremely tough on myself, my family and the team. Aries just paces and Roscoe howls waiting for the familiar howl back that will, unfortunately, never come. The loss is made much harder by the fact she wasn’t just a dog or a pet but a teammate and a very cherished friend. It's hard to think I'll never run another mile with her. There’s only been two times out of all the miles we've done when she wasn’t right next to Roscoe. If there’s a sled team over the Rainbow Bridge, they just gained a good dog. If she doesn’t like her silver harness, I'll bring her red one when I get there. - Shawn
God speed sweetie. I know you had plenty of friends waiting for you as you crossed the bridge. - Grandma
God speed Bandit. How awful and just plain tragic that your life was unnecessarily taken by the hand of ignorance. You have touched all of our hearts with your sweetness and for that you will never be forgotten - Daddy's Little Girl. That's all I can say as the tears in my eyes are preventing me from typing - not to mention the shaking hands. - Dawne
No words can adequately express our deepest sympathies on such a tragic and unnecessary loss. We are here for you, Shawn, and we will keep you and Bandit in our thoughts and prayers. - Cathy and Mary Beth
Deepest and most sincere sympathy. You know we're here if you need us. You'll be in our prayers. -Brenna and Jeff
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as well. We are so very sorry for your loss. - Chris and Bill
Take care, Bandit. We’ll miss you, but we know you’re in a better place playing and running happily with all those who’ve gone before you. - Bob |
