About Paige

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
  • Housetrained: Yes

SSR is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Nash Correctional Institution and are proudly participating in their 'A New Leash On Life' prison training program. Paige is one of our foster dogs in training now. She will be graduating early February 2009 so put your app in for your finely trained new family member now.

Name: Paige
Sex: Female
Approx. DOB: August 2003
Weight: Approx. 45 lbs.
Coat Color: Black and White
Eye Color: Bi-Eyed, One brown and and blue
Energy Level: Medium. Paige isn't one to romp in the back yard with the other dogs in her foster home but she does perfectly fine with them just the same.
Personality: Very affectionate, sweet, loveable and playful. Paige craves attention from her people and will take that over play with her foster siblings. She will do best in a home by herself or with another 4 legged canine. She is a food hound so watch your biscuits and dogfood because she has been known to open her foster Mom's armoire and help herself to dinner. Her coat was shaved down prior to coming to us so it may look short or funny in her pics but it is growing back nicely and she is simply gorgeous.
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Not tested yet but probably not
Good with Children: Probably but has not been around them in our program.
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Rides Well in Car: Yes
Leash Trained: Does pretty well on leash with not much pulling.
Basic Obedience: Working on sit, down, shake and heel in the prison training program.

All Southern Siberian Rescue foster dogs are microchipped, up to date on shots, spay/neutered and on monthly heartworm preventative.
