About Babe

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes

Name:  Babe
Sex:  Female
Approx. DOB:  May 2005
Weight:  Approx. 40 lbs.
Coat Color:  Gray and White
Eye Color:  Blue
Energy Level:  Medium. Babe does not regularly play with her foster siblings but she does get spurts of energy where she plays hard and then finds her perch in the house and lays down quietly watching the house activities.
Personality:  Babe is polite and demure, both with people and her canine housemates. Once she's had a moment to meet, she'll do a little tap dance and bow down to say, "I like you, let's PLAY!" She is quite a darling and most times you don't know she's in the house but grab treats and she's first in line. She's not needy or demanding of attention but does enjoy pets and loving on her terms. She is just a calm, sweet girl. Babe hasn't taken to toys much. She has perfect house manners in that she does not chew unapproved things or counter surf, etc. If you are looking for sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little Miss Babe is made of.
Good with Dogs:  Yes but choses when she wants to play.

Good with Cats:  We would be willing to test Babe with cats and consider her for adoption in a home with cats. Do know that Siberians are notorious for their high prey drive and typically kill cats, rabbits, birds, chickens, squirrels, opossums, etc.

Good with Children:  Yes but she does occasionally get giddy and jump up out of playfulness so children passed toddler stage will be good. Siberians are typically good with children of all ages and the only reason we would not list them as not good with kids is because they may be too energetic and bouncy and knock over a toddler.

Housetrained:  Yes

Crate Trained:  Yes but she is not crated in her foster home because she is houstrained, not destructive and can be trusted out and about the house. She does LOVE a crate and often goes inside 'her house' during leisure moments without being asked..

Rides Well in Car:  Yes

Leash Trained: Does pretty well on leash with not much pulling but does come out of the shoot excited and pulling.

Basic Obedience:  Lorna does know sit and is very well mannered.
